We provide custom framing not only in person at our brick-and-mortar shop, but to our many online customers as well. In fact, the quality of our frames and our custom framing design approach have earned us orders from nearly every state! Much of that is for In Stock mirrors and frames, which are now available through our online store, shop.holtonframes.com. But a large and growing portion of our online business is for custom framing from people who appreciate the extraordinary quality of our frames and custom design.
Although custom framing online seemed at one time like a dubious proposition, it now works very successfully, largely due to digital and Internet technology, as well as the reliability of today’s shipping industry. In large part, too, our simple, understated approach, which involves fewer elements than many framers like to use (complex and multiple mats and moldings, for example), lends itself well to this arrangement. Our extensive website—especially A Frame-Maker’s Catalog, Portfolio, and the blog—offers abundant examples for our online customers to refer to and for us to use to guide them and help them imagine how their own custom framing will look.
While it’s always easier to design framing for pictures we have here in the shop, it’s usually not necessary for you to send us the piece.

(You can also use the form if you just want a simple quote.) Tim Holton will reply with his ideas, direct you to frame designs and similar work shown on our website, or send other images, including sketches for new designs.
